a Clarion Call for Latino Representation
The Chicago Club – 81 E. Van Buren Street
Free, Registration required

The Brennan School of Business will host representatives from the Latino Corporate Directors Association (LCDA) to share research and discuss its robust initiatives to increase Latino representation on Illinois corporate boards.

Diversity on corporate boards is proven to be good for business and, with Latinos numbering nearly 20% of the US population, it makes sense for boardrooms to include Latinos to offer insight into the new mainstream economy. The reality is that for years Latinos have been systematically excluded and bypassed for a seat at the table. The Latino Corporate Directors Association (LCDA), a membership-based organization of US Latinos at the highest level of corporate leadership and corporate governance, was formed to change this reality and increase US Latino representation on corporate boards by raising visibility of the ample Hispanic/Latino talent primed for the boardroom.
