As a federally designated HSI since 2011, Dominican has grown from a Hispanic-enrolling institution to a model for how to truly serve today’s diverse Latine student populations. With the support offederal grants,我们正在扩大奖学金,减少股本gaps, creating new pathways to graduate school and careers, and more.
At Dominican, our HSI identity is about more than the numbers of students who enroll. Together, we celebrate our culture and advocate for social justice. OurOffice of Diversity, Equity and Inclusionequips students, faculty and staff for responsible global citizenship, enabling students of all backgrounds to thrive. And at ourCenter for Cultural Liberation, students find space to build community around topics important to us, like immigration policy, criminal justice reform and fighting gender-based discrimination.

What comes after Dominican is just as important. Within a year of graduating, 78% of our students go on to jobs at major corporations, startups, medical centers, nonprofits, schools and beyond. Around 20% enter graduate school.
Guadalupe Belmonte was the first in her family to go to college. At Dominican, that means she fit right in. Guadalupe, an accounting major, found tons of support, including help landing an internship with Ernst & Young, one of the Big Four accounting firms. She even started her senior year knowing she had a job offer from the firm for after graduation. These days, she’s making her mark and making a difference, working as an accountant at Feeding America, the nation’s leading domestic hunger-relief charity.
